“LYNX” Triaxial  Cells  are  constructed  from  precision  machined non-ferrous material. Particular attention is paid to the quality of the honed finish between the stainless steel piston and the bushing. This reduces friction to an absolute minimum and prevents water leakage. The piston load capacity is designed specimen test. The cell  cylinders  are  made  from  acrylic  plastic  material  and  are reinforced by fibre glass bonding in universal models to withstand large lateral pressures.

Conforms to I S : 2720  ( Part 11 & 12 ).
For 38 mm.diameter x 76 mm.  high specimen  and for  lateral pressure  upto 1000 kPa (10.5 kg./cm ).
The cell base has four take off positions - for monitoring cell pressure and  pore water pressure at positions 1 and 2; positions 3 and 4 are for top and bottom drainage; fitted with no-volume- change valves (3nos.) and dead end plug (1no.). The cell base has four take off positions - for monitoring cell pressure and pore water pressure at positions 1 and 2; positions 3 and 4 are for top and bottom drainage; fitted with no-volume- change valves (3 nos.) and dead end plug (1no.). Supplied complete for each diameter specimen with a set consisting of pedestal (1 no.), loading pad (1 no.), plain discs (2 nos.), Porous stones (2 nos.), split sand former (1 no.), sheath stretcher (1 no.), ruber sheaths (pack of ten) and sealing rings (4 nos.).

It comprises of a free-standing case, housing a chasis, with following features.
Analogue to digital conversation module, with memory storage.
Suitable to measure and display the load, pressure and displacement directly in engineering units using Load cell, Pressure Transducer and LVDT respectively.
Each channel is programable to have its own calibration factor, offset and initial reading. All the channels are enabled or disabled by key board provided.
The channels are automatically scanned. The data stored in the memory of the data logger can be printed on dot matrix printer or down loaded to a PC through serial port provided.
